My Sentiments on 36 Years of Marriage to Sonny Long

Thank you, Sonny, for being by my side for the last wonderful 36 years. Our wedding day is still vivid in my mind and my emotions as if it happened only yesterday. I can still see your face as I came up the aisle to join my life with yours. I would do it all again.

CAPTIVE THOUGHTS!

Come on in and join me as I reveal my feelings, thoughts and experiences that have resulted from choosing to display gratitude for my life. Gratitude is a powerful tool and one that can be used to reach inward, outward or upward to find all sorts of wonderful blessings that are just waiting there for all of us!

If you are bored or lonely, sad or depressed, or just immobilized by the stresses of your circumstances, I can definitely relate. But I'm here to tell you that if you want to romp in those greener pastures you MUST develop a habit of gratitude. Habits are those behaviors we do without really thinking about them, and they are developed by consistent, steady practice. So as an exercise in self-discipline, I created this blog where I will be posting my daily "gratitude" entry. Maybe short, maybe long. Maybe serious, maybe funny. Maybe intellectual, maybe asinine. (I looked this one up: def. extremely or utterly foolish)

But whatever the topic or tone may be, it will definitely come from a place of GRATITUDE!
